Plastic Surgery Wives star Dayna Devon 'set to replace Taylor Armstrong' on Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
She stole the show on TLC's Plastic Wives and now she may be stealing the role of one of Beverly Hills' housewives.
Former Extra host Dayna Devon is reportedly at the top of the list to join the cast of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills as producers consider a major shake up.
Get used to the red carpet: Dayna Devon is reportedly being considered to join the cast of the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
TMZ reported on Friday the 42-year-old is in serious talks with Bravo to join the show after she caught the executives' attention as the outspoken and frank member of the TLC show about wives of wealthy plastic surgeons.
The wife of famed Beverly Hills surgeon Dr. Brent Moelleken, candidly spoke about her heavy use of plastic surgeon to stem off the aging progress and even divulged details about her female parts.
The mother of two was the star of entertainment show Extra for ten years and claims she turned to surgery to try to extend her time in television.
'In any other community in the world it makes no sense, but it's Hollywood,' she said of her extensive surgery on the TLC program.
'I wanted to continue working television, unfortunately you hit forty you want to continue working in TV there are some things you got to think about. I wasn't ready to hang it up yet, I wanted to extend my shelf life a a little bit.'
And it now seems her time under the knife may have paid off with a spot on the popular franchise within her grasp.
According to TMZ, Danya will likely replace Taylor Armstrong, who is also no stranger to cosmetic surgery and is known for her plumped lips.
Taylor who was once the most popular on the show, has now become a controversial figure following the suicide of her estranged husband Russell Armstrong, with many viewers reacting badly to her response to his partner's death.
Also facing an uncertain future is the former wife of a plastic surgeon Adrienne Maloof.
Adrienne - who is now dating Rod Stewart's son Sean, allegedly threatened legal action against NBCUniversal and producers over fellow housewife Brandi Glanville's comments about the business woman using a surrogate.
Ironically, singing star Rod's wife Penny Lancester is also in the running to star in the series.
Penny is friends with the show's most recent addition Yolanda Foster - wife of composer David Foster.
On Friday Dayna's fans welcomed the news that she may be the newest housewife taking to Twitter to congratulate her.
'I'm all for @DaynaDevonSays replacing fishlips armstrong or megalomaniacal maloof on #RHOBH,' one wrote.
The wives of some of the most successful Beverly Hills plastic surgeons are getting together to talk Botox, fake boobs and even Hollywood’s latest craze, vagina surgery, on TLC's new series "Plastic Wives."
"Vagina comes up more times than [on] any show in history," Dayna Devon, the former "Extra" host and "Plastic Wives" cast member, tells The Huffington Post. "It comes up a lot. One of the doctors on the show is the vagina doctor. For a number of reasons, the way it looks, after gravity or after kids, you want it done. It's huge in Hollywood."
The surgeons' wives have heard all the secrets of the stars.
"Celebrities say they don't want to look like Nicole Kidman. Actors and actresses need that expression," says Devon, referring to Kidman's Botox use. "I would love to know who is doing Madonna. She has had the best work done and paid a lot of money. I think we all have seen Michael Douglas has the scars. In reality, most every celebrity is doing something. I would say it's 75 percent of women celebrities have had something tweaked."
Angry about all the bad plastic surgery she has seen over the years, Devon says she wanted to be part of "Plastic Wives" to give people knowledge and power.
"People send more time researching what running shoes they buy than picking doctors. I wanted to show what a good doctor could do," says Devon.
Her advice: "Angelina's lips are the most requested, but that's a disaster waiting to happen. There is only one person in the world that can have Angelina Jolie's lips, and that's Angelina. A lot of people want to look like Jennifer Aniston, and she's been quite open about having surgery, although she said it was to correct a deviated septum. A lot of people say they want to age like Courteney Cox. This is no longer true, but people used to always say they wanted to age like Demi Moore."
